BionicAlly is an alias of Robin H. Morton. I am a writer and musician based in Lichfield, UK.
But it is also a recognition that the authorship of the work credited with the name BionicAlly rests somewhere between myself, the people who construct the predictive keyboard software for my (by happenstance, at the current time, Android) phone, and the people I correspond with whose lives and characters prompt the phrases I type to them, which will later appear either in full or somewhat deconstructed form in my autosuggest bar.
The use of the copyright symbol is partly ironic, since I donʼt claim to understand even an iota of internet-related copyright law. Copyright is one aspect of pre-internet convention which post-internet convention seems to have blown to smithereens. But I am using the symbol in conjunction with the pseudonym to represent and keep track of my sense of authorship within this work, especially as I am keen to see othersʼ Semi-Automatic work and to publish it here with appropriate accreditation if they so desire.
Considering all that, please be respectful and acknowledge BionicAlly / other authors whose work is published here if you choose to use words which are accredited to them. And ideally link to the blog! Share us as widely as you can.
